My daughter is now 22 years old and filed I-485 on behalf of me in the year 2007. That time she was only 19 years.
Now she is planning to get married before getting a green card. Her bride-groom is H-1 visa and not applied for labor. Will her I- 485 application be cancelled?.
I am also porting to eb-2 in the next three months. I am hoping to get green card may be after Sept 2011.
Suppose she gets married before the green card what will happend to her case. Please I need advise.

Has anyone else come accross this problem? I wanted to remitt funds to India and when I logged in to SBI GLS web site I got the following message:
Due to regulations applicable in your state of residence in USA, we regret that, at present, we are unable to continue offering SBI Express Remit - US (our product using direct debit facility through ACH) till further notice.
We are engaged in meeting the state's current regulatory requirements, and it will be our endeavor to restore to you at the earliest the convenience you have been enjoying. Meanwhile, you may use the aid of Rapid Remittance (Web-assistance for tracking wire transfers) when you use wire transfer from your bank to send funds to your beneficiary accounts in India.
Please mail any of your queries to our customer support team at

SBI is working to complete statutory formalities, it will take about 10 to 12 weeks to enable "Express Remit" option. You may have to use alternate options until this gets enabled. Hope this helps!

I am planing to Go to India some time next summer.

I received email from USCIS this morning for my wife I-485 i.e Card Ordered for Production. I am the Primary applicant, but i am still waiting for my turn. My PD is Sep 2004 & EB2.
We booked our tickets to India before we received this email. I am travelling in 3rd week of Sep. We both have new AP's. So is i have to wait here in USA to receive the Card or can i proceed with my actual plan?. Can anybody share their expertise?.

For my self
1. Now I got RFE on current employement and offer of proposed employment (description of position) and offered salary
2. Current address proof
For my Spouse
1. Missing G325-A need to submit one (but I did send them initially)

Wrong, time spent outside Canada while working for a Canadian company does not automatically counts for PR maintenance (2/5 years). That's for some exception situation like serving in the military etc.

I read at Ron Gotcher's website that Admin fix cannot recapture unused visa #s (for that one needs a congressional mandate).. Is this correct? Can someone from IV team who has had contact with legal community comment on this?
At the same time, I think IV campaign to bring the visa recapture and other LEGAL immigration issues to the forefront is laudable. At the minimum, we have ~ 20k letters out there detailing our problems..

I am proud of my 4 year old girl. She has written a letter to the President. When a 4 year old can write , we have 25k adult members and only about 500 of them have sent letters! Why ?

Just add this word document, and send a email to your work email address with the word document attached. when you see this email at work, just print 2 copies of the attachment, thats all you have to do.

If you have not done this already you are supposed to call the USCIS and update them with your new address apart from sending a AR-11 regarding your address change.
Call customer service and ask them to give you an update and/or request a copy of your receipt notice. The notice goes to your moron lawyer and it takes about 4/5 business days to get a mail from USCIS once they send it out.

dont worry thats normal. when i was in florida, i always got a temp licence valid for 4 weeks. and then the actual renewed licence arrived within 3 weeks in mail .
