I guess this means no TRUE VIDEO iPOD before Christmas. That is a let down.

While I think there will be no vPod this Christmas, I don't see why the airplane integration would imply this one way or the other. Even if you had a vPod, wouldn't you prefer to be reclining comfortably, looking at a video screen on the back of the seat in front of you? Personally, that seems to be more comfortable than having to hold the vPod in my hands for 2 hours while I watched the movie.

First thing that comes to mind is Brasso, but an abrasive such as that might actually tarnish the matte coating around the scratches which would just make it worse. Long story short I think we may be out of luck.

For example, if apple sold a dual 1.5 GHz 970 in addition to the current line-up for $10,000, it still wouldn't be worth $10,000 for me because that equates to ~1,170 hours of work for me. If I was a extremely well off person, and money wasn't an issue, the computer would be worth the money.
So, basically what I am saying is Apple needs to get down their prices in order to sell their high end systems to people who want them but don't have the highest paycheck.

I believe Pilotwings is a launch title. No 3DS e-shop and no Ocarina of Time at launch, but oh well!

I have noticed that a lot of the new folders (including myself) are folding a lot of points for the team, great to see :)

Your gas is also taxed to hell; meanwhile, I bet your minimum wage is higher, while your cost of living is comparable or lower.
We're at $3.59/Gal right now. Definitely not as bad as some of you have it, but it totally sucks as a poor as hell college student. A fill-up costs me about $60, and lasts me about two weeks. But anytime I want to go home (which, I will for Easter), I will go through about two tanks.
EDIT: Decided to do the research myself; see that you actually don't have a minimum wage in effect. I applaud you, as I don't believe in a minimum wage, myself. That said, what I said does hold true for a fair amount of countries that make fun of Americans for complaining about gasoline prices.

I find it amazing he's never used a computer before doing the Mac ads. But he uses a Mac now, and that's all that counts. :)
The funny thing is that on Leno last week (week of Aug 7) he said he didn't care what he used - I don't recall his exact quotation. He was somewhat amusing on there with stories about people coming up to him.

Yeah no thanks. Are you going to tax just individuals or corporations too? Taxing corporations that deliver goods would raise the costs of everything from milk to televisions.
How about if you need more tax revenue, you jack up taxes on imported goods? This will increase revenue, and maybe help prevent some of these companies from moving all their jobs to china.

There are also a couple of other Flash(?) skits they do (at least it sounds like them...it is just (minimal) animation) riffing on Tokyo train station names (called kyoubashi ??) and on prefecture names (ibaraki ??) that are amusing. Especially if you see yourself in that particular language class.

Definitely my favorite thus far, amongst many excellent interpretations of the challenge theme. The neon glow of the keyboard backlight really makes this pop, and I like the angled composition.

This one I'm not too sure how it communicates the challenge theme (assuredly more my lack of insight and interpretation than the photo) but more distracting to me is the overexposure of the foreground flower. Was this exposed with the in-camera meter? I find a lot of over-exposure problems when using the camera meter, so I usually use an incident meter, or a spot-meter - or else I bracket with a specific intention of some low-value captures. I find that recovering slightly under-exposed images easier in digital than I do hot or over-exposed images. Just my limited experience - your mileage may vary.
OK, my own submission for this challenge. With the utmost apologies to JD, I had to stick with the apples & oranges theme which is what had immediately occurred to me when we set this topic. I've tried to expand on the conceptual interpretation of apples & oranges with some more technical interpretations - a split b & w background, and an over-saturated and high contrast post treatment.

Try going to settings->application settings
Once the page loads, go to the drop down box and select "allowed to post"
Find farmville and click edit settings and you can change it there.
Also, on the news page you can go and click the hide next to any farmville news, then you can select Hide Farmville. This will prevent it from showing up in the news feed.

I built a table that links directly to bestbuy, walmart and target (http://kiernanvandoorn.wordpress.com/2011/04/01/where-in-the-world-can-i-buy-an-ipad2-now/) to check inventory levels. it helps, but with very little supply there isn't any good news hiding on the back shelf. And there are horror stories all over the next about bad practices like forcing customers to buy service protection plans just to buy from existing inventory. As for the random iPod tidbit at the bottom, it has nothing to do with the rest of the rumor. On another note, does it make any sense? Why would apple start production on the new iPod in December? When would the release be then?
